Headshsot FAQs

What happens on the day of the shoot?

Knowing my customer and their requirements is integral to my core values. Understanding you and your requirements would be done prior to your shoot to ensure that we concentrate on you, on the day of your shoot.

The session will be chilled with music of your choice in the background. Shy? or nervous? Anxiety or stage fright has no home in my studio! I would not be a photographer if I wasn’t able to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I shoot approximately 200 images (not that I count - no, honestly I don’t). If required, I will guide you through different poses that will help you catch the eyes of your audience and most importantly your casting panel. After your shoot, we will review your pictures and ensure that you are satisfied.

What makes you different from the other Headshot photographers?

Already seen different headshot photographers on Google? Finding it hard to spot the difference? I get it.. picking the right photographer can be hard. Here’s a quick look into my background. I was taught by someone who I regard as the guru of photography and as a second father. He instilled the technical art of photography into me and taught me many tips and tricks that I still use today. You see, knowing the technical art of lighting, and the purpose of different camera lenses, allows me to not just think outside the box but to also ‘create’ outside the box. Which then allows me to bend the rules to achieve your ‘creative’ vision, allowing me to concentrate on you to unlock your ‘creativity’. (Did you see what I did there? Create, creative, creativity?).What I’m trying to say is.. I know my art like the back of my hand, which then enables me to concentrate on you.

I hate having my picture taken - I get nervous.

This doesn’t mean you can’t take fantastic memorable pictures! It just means you need a little direction and guidance. You don’t have to be a finalist on Britain’s Next Top Model to take good pictures. Technique is key and I will always make sure you have the right posture that best portrays your vision, I will always let you know when and not to ‘smize’ (smile with your eyes) and how to build the right level of energy to ensure you get the best version of yourself. As mentioned above, I will also have music of your choice in the background to help you relax. Good vibes = Great pics.

When do I get my images?

We will review your pictures on the day of your shoot. Your selected pictures will be edited/retouched and available within 5 working days.

What do you mean by retouched images?

This means where necessary I will reduce any spots you may have, smooth your skin, whiten your teeth and lightly enhance your eyes.

Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, £25 will pencil you into the calendar.

I don’t like the pictures taken of me.

This of course, would be the last thing a photographer wants to hear. I will always adhere to your requirements so that I can cater to your needs.

If for whatever reason you do not like any of your pictures, I will reschedule your shoot for one additional day at your earliest convenience, free of charge.

I am committed to ensuring that you are confident and satisfied with your images!

What happens if I am late to my session?

I’m a Londoner! So I know that somethings are beyond our control. If you are more than 20 minutes late then a reschedule is likely as your lateness should not affect the start time of my next client.
